MAMÍFERA

MAMÍFERAenserie

Site-specific group piece with 5 other performers, MAMIFERA, is an experimental study on the interconnections between love, sex and food that seeks to provoke questions about the current state of these three basic needs that influence our lives so profoundly. With a 10X4 piece of artificial grass, a grunting choir of 6, a vivid story about a woman who turns to cannibalism and months of research regarding, WHAT IS SEX?,  WHEN IS LOVE?,  and WHO IS FOOD?, MAMIFERA, through movement, voice and text, points to the endless contradictions of the human condition, hoping to provoke dialogue about what lies in wait for us as a species regarding these needs. Finally, it is a tribute to misfits and rebels, to all those who have lived outside the social canons and fight for love, free/healthy sexuality and food security. Due to the pandemic situation, this full evening group piece developed into a three pronged project that included MAMIFERAenserie (video series), MAMIFERAsola (solo piece).
